How Many Boiled Eggs Can I Give My Dog?

·     Boiled eggs are a high-quality protein and a good
source of healthy fats.

·     Boiled eggs can be a healthy snack for dogs.

·     Dogs should not consume more than one boiled egg per
day.

·     Smaller dogs should limit themselves to one small
boiled egg per week and no more than ¼ of an egg per day.

·    Make sure to factor in the extra calories you’re
feeding when giving your dog boiled eggs. One egg is about 70 calories.

 Can I Feed My Dog an Egg Every Day?

·     Dogs shouldn’t eat more than one egg per day.

·     Get your eggs from an organic farmer so they haven’t
been chemically treated.

GERMAN SHEPHERD PUPPY EARS

  • German Shepherdsare born with floppy ears. Their ears can stand up anywhere from seven weeks to eight months of age. Sometimes new German shepherd owners start worrying way too much. Do not tape up his ears too soon. It is recommended to wait until after your German shepherd puppy’s adult teeth have started to come in (around 3 to 5 months) to tape up his ears. You may even want to wait until after he has finished teething (around 7 months) before taping up his ears.

While floppy German Shepherd ears might worry you they are generally harmless and even make for many adorable moments and pictures.

Just remember these tips about ears that flop over and don’t stand up naturally:

  • Your German Shepherd puppy’s ears will stand up around 5 months of age, but can take up to 8 or 9 months in some puppies.
  • It’s totally normal if your dog’s ears don’t both stand up and your GSD has one ear up and one ear down.
  • Floppy ears might be caused by: genetics, breeder’s choices, improper and poor nutrition, or accidental damage.
  • You can help fix your German Shepherd’s floppy ears with good nutrition, proper chewing toys to strengthen the muscles, and taping them upright.
  • A healthy and balanced dietwill provide your dog will all the vitamins and nutrients needed to grow strong cartilage.
  • Choose quality dog foodand consider introducing supplements or occasional home-cooked meals.
  • Collagen chewscan be a healthy addition to your dog’s diet. These chew toys will increase your dog’s collagen intake to support strong cartilage. Also raw marrow bone.
  • Regular ear cleaningcan prevent infections and parasites that increase the risks of ear injuries.
  • Massage your dog’s earsat least once a week. It’s a great way to improve blood flow to the ear structure. But same time DON’T play with puppy ears!!!
  • Right supplement!!! Calcium supplements, among others, can actually be hazardous to puppies. If a puppy receives inordinate amounts of calcium, it can often be equally as problematic as him not getting enough of it. Muscle, bone and joint issues can sometimes arise from immoderate calcium intake. German Shepherds need calcium, but too much calcium in a German Shepherd puppies diet causes a higher risk of developinghip dysplasia. Calcium also won’t help German Shepherd puppies ears to go up because calcium does not affect the ears’ cartilage. Instead of supplementing your pup with extra calcium, it’s much better to give them glucosamine supplements. Glucosamine helps to develop healthy cartilage and joints. Too much of anything — including calcium — is not a good thing.
  • Deworm your puppy every 3 month till 1 year old.

Here are a few tips for taping your GSD’s ears safely:

Besides helping your puppy’s ears grow properly, taping can help broken cartilage repair itself in an upright shape.

Keep your puppy away from other dogs since they might bite the tape when playing.
